ONE MONTH of doing Lagree at Fyre Fitness 3 times per week. I was sold!

At the end of 2018, I had a goal of teaching another format of fitness in addition to indoor cycling. At this point, I had never heard of Lagree but shortly into my decision, the owner of Fyre Fitness asked me if I would be interested in posting a “6-Pack Challenge” on my Instagram page, which would involve me coming to take Lagree three times a week, and posting progress pictures online.

I had never really had gotten into Barre, Pilates, or Yoga (I grew up in sports and running) but decided that 2019 was going to be a year dedicated to trying new things. I fell in love with the workout and wanted to help others gain the same confidence and results. In April 2019, I became certified and have been loving every second of teaching Lagree!

What is the Lagree Method? The Lagree Method strengthens, tightens, and tones the body using resistance training on a Megaformer machine with varying spring loads. Think: constant time under tension, with NO BREAKS! At some point during the class, one or multiple muscles will be in an isometric hold, while other muscles are contracting and relaxing.

In early 2020, Fyre added VersaClimbers to their studio and I became one of the first VersaClimber instructors in the city of Houston! The VersaClimber offers rhythm-based low-impact, high-intensity cardio in addition to the strength training and toning Lagree provides. Basically, it’s SoulCycle meets the stairclimber’s evil cousin.
