I had been an indoor cycling instructor for five years, and at the end of 2018, I was writing in my Meraki planner goals for 2019. One of the first goals I had written down was to begin teaching another format of fitness, on top of indoor cycling. I had never even heard of Lagree at this point.
A few weeks later, Justine – the owner of Fyre Fitness – approached me after she took my cycling class asking if I would be interested in posting a “6-Pack Challenge” on my Instagram page, which would involve me coming to take Lagree three times a week, and posting progress pictures online.
I have never heard of Lagree, and never really had gotten into Barre, Pilates, or Yoga (I grew up in sports and running) but decided that 2019 was going to be a year dedicated to trying new things. I told Justine I was up for the challenge and absolutely fell in love with the workout! I knew I needed to instruct Lagree and help others gain the same confidence and results I had gotten! In April 2019, I became certified with the amazing Lucas Paul and have been loving every second of teaching Lagree!
What is the Lagree Method? The Lagree Method strengthens, tightens, and tones the body using resistance training on a Megaformer machine with varying spring loads. Think: constant time under tension, with NO BREAKS! At some point during the class, one or multiple muscles will be in an isometric hold, while other muscles are contracting and relaxing.
